An early morning surprise in front of his bedroom door.
Birthday breakfast of chocolate chip muffins. Yum!
What a lucky boy: swimming with the rest of his grade on his birthday.
And his favorite, ravioli, for dinner.
What could this odd shaped present be?
A baseball bat!
(Wrapped in a yoga mat and a bunch of dad's socks in an attempt to throw his off. Didn't work.)
And some practice balls...
And a lego set.
He also got new shoes, despite being at the end the school year and starting summer when he'd be in flip-flops most of the time.
(That's what happens when you crash big time on the road from lack of shoe traction.)
Yes, he is ten. Mom just hasn't bought any candles recently.
For his birthday party with grandparents, he got a big bag of treats...
A movie he wanted (and was pretty excited about)...
And some books!
(Brian and Claire getting in on the picture action)
This kid has been alive and kicking for a decade!
(And our house hasn't been quiet since.)

Jack is a fun kid! Glad he had a special B-day! Looks like he got spoiled!
He's always spoiled! I don't know if you notice what I said in sacrament meeting this past Sunday, but he IS a very persuasive boy!
