Swim Time

We all started swimming lessons today: Parker, repeating his class from last year; Jack, in the next level; and Bria and me, in the Mom and Tot class.  The kids have been excited for lessons since before school got out, but we haven't been able to start until now.  They were extra excited this morning since Today was the Day!

I can't tell you much about how the boys did, since I was in class with Bria, but Parker said he tread water for 50 seconds and Jack practiced his kicking.  Bria did great reaching and pulling her arms, kicking her legs, and spitting (water out her mouth).

I was a little unsure about wearing my "blue whale" maternity swimsuit in public (that I got, second-hand, while prego with Parker), since it's none-too-cute at 8+ years old, but it wasn't too bad.  It was nice and cool in the water, just what an expectant mom needs.  Although, walking up the steps after class was over, I couldn't believe how heavy I felt coming out of the water at 8 months pregnant.  Maybe I should spend the remainder of my pregnancy in the water where it's cool and I don't feel so huge.
