ThisClose

Our basement is not finished yet, but we are thisclose to being done.  It took us a while (and many paint sample colors) to figure out what color we wanted to paint the walls.  During that time, the kids playroom was off limits since we had to cover the doorway with plastic.  But, the kids still found things to entertain themselves with:

Like seeing what would happen if Bria put a wet stir stick up to her lips.  (She wasn't very happy about it since Daddy said she had to go to jail now.  Or maybe she's crying because she can hardly see where she's going with her hair in her eyes.)

Last night Brian sprayed the last coat on the walls.  Then, we tore all the plastic, paper and tape off the doorways, floor, and ceiling.  The boys were told that if they took all that junk to the garbage today, they could earn a dollar each.

Jack picking up paper.

Parker grabbing as much as possible at one time.

Bria choosing her favorite pieces of junk: green painter's tape balls.

Now it's time to do some touch-up painting, then finish the electrical stuff, and then we can start looking for carpet!  Sure hope we finish before school starts (and this baby comes).
